IMD Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall at a few places on November 17, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe. Additionally, light to moderate rainfall is expected at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the week.

IMD Weather Update: IMD has issued alerts for dense to very dense fog conditions that are very likely to prevail in the night/early morning hours in some pockets of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Rajasthan tomorrow morning, and Bihar until November 18 (morning hours).

Isolated pockets over SubHimalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may also experience dense fog conditions in the night/early morning hours on November 17 and 19 (morning hours); in Assam and Meghalaya on November 17 and 19; in Bihar during November; in Himachal Pradesh during November 19 and 21; and in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and West Rajasthan during the 18th morning hours.

Temperature Conditions And Forecast
No significant change in minimum temperature was observed over most parts of the country during the past 24 hours. IMD in its Press Release said that a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C is likely over northwest, West India & Central India during the next 4-5 days.
Weather Systems
According to IMD, a trough runs from the Comorin area to the southwest Bay of Bengal at a lower tropospheric level. The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies now seen with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 70°E to the north of Lat. 32°N.
IMD Weather Forecast For Delhi
IMD said that there has been a slight fall in minimum temperatures over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. The Maximum and Minimum temperatures over Delhi are in the range of 28 to 31°C and 11 to Shallow fog. Delhi will have mainly clear skies from November 17 to 19.
AQI in Delhi: Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘severe’ category again on Saturday, with an AQI of 417 worse than Friday’s AQI of 396. According to reports, after Delhi, now the Haryana government has decided to switch to online mode for students up to Class 5.
