IMD Weather Update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, South Interior Karnataka today. IMD said that at present neutral El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) conditions are observed over the equatorial Pacific. The probability forecast indicates a highest probability of La Nina conditions during the NDJ (November/December/January) and DJF (December/January/February) seasons.
Rainfall Forecast
IMD has forecasted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe and Coastal Andhra Pradesh during 14th – 18th November.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall on Friday.
IMD further added that overall rainfall is likely to be normal to above normal over most parts of South Peninsular India and over Western Himalayan Region during the week.

IMD Weather Update: Temperature Conditions And Forecast
No significant change in minimum temperature has been observed by the IMD during past 24 hours.
IMD said that there will be gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C over northwest India during next one week. No significant change in minimum temperatures will prevail over central India during next one week. However, gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C is likely to be observed over East India during next one week.
IMD Weather Update: Dense Fog Warning
Fog has started to envelop several parts of Northern India. IMD stated that dense to very dense fog conditions will prevail in night/ morning hours Punjab and Haryana during first of this week. Uttar Pradesh will see foggy conditions till 15th November in morning hours. Fog will engulf West Rajasthan till 17th November.
Dense fog conditions will prevail over Himachal Pradesh till 19th November; Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Jharkhand till 17th November.

Weather Forecast For Delhi
IMD said that there has been a slight fall in maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi/NCR during past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi are currently in the range of 26-28°C and 11-17°C respectively.
Delhi will have mainly clear sky today with smog/moderate to dense fog at few places in the morning.
Smog/ shallow to moderate fog is likely to prevail in evening/night.
According to SAFAR-India data, AQI of Delhi recorded at 7 am on Friday is 420 which comes under ‘Severe’ category.
