IMD Weather Update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Kerala and Mahe today. Dense fog warning has been issued for Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Punjab, Bihar, Haryana. It said that dense to very dense fog conditions will prevail in these states in morning/ night hours.
IMD in its press release said that minimum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3°C over most places of northwest, central, east and west India during next 5 days.
Weather Systems
IMD informed that a cyclonic circulation lies over Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Sri Lanka coast in lower tropospheric levels. Also, a Western Disturbance as a trough aloft in middle tropospheric westerlies runs roughly along Longitude. 65°E to the north of Latitude 30°N.
IMD Weather Update: Rainfall Forecast
Light rainfall has been forecasted at several places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, north Punjab today.
Kerala and Mahe are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall today.
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning will occur over south Peninsular India during 16th – 17th November.

Fog Warning
IMD has warned about dense to very dense fog conditions very likely to prevail in night/early morning hours in Punjab, Haryana, Bihar till 17th November; East Uttar Pradesh till 16th November, West Rajasthan, Bihar till 18th November, Himachal Pradesh during 17-19th, Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim during 17th.

Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there has been no significant change in minimum temperature over most parts of the country during past 24 hours. Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh recorded lowest minimum temperature of 10.4°C yesterday.
IMD Weather Update: Forecast Of Temperature
IMD has forecasted gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C very likely over Northwest and Central India during next 5 days.
There will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over West India during next 2 days.
It will gradually fall by 2-3°C during subsequent 2-3 days. Gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C will take place over East India during next 2-3 days.
Weather Forecast For Delhi
IMD stated that there has been a slight fall in minimum temperatures over Delhi/NCR during past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi is currently in the range of 28 -30°C and 11 to 17°C respectively.
Delhi will have mainly clear sky today with smog/moderate fog likely in the morning. Smog/ shallow fog is predicted in evening/night.
AQI in Delhi: According to CPCB data, Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi is recorded 404 at 6 am on Saturday. This comes under ‘severe’ category. Notably, Delhi has been battling with ‘severe’ AQI since Wednesday.
AQI recorded from other parts of Delhi: Narela (449), Anand Vihar (436), Bawana (438), Ashok Vihar (438), Dwarka-Sector 8 (418), Patparganj (427), Rohini (426), Punjabi Bagh (425).
