IMD Weather Update: A fresh Western disturbance is going to affect Northwest India from 2nd March. It is going to bring rainfall and snowfall to the northern parts of the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its press release, stated that under the influence of the Western Disturbance, there will be a change in weather conditions. While some states will witness rainfall, others will receive snowfall, and western Himalayan states are expected to experience both.
Here’s a look at weather forecast for different states:
2-4 March:
Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to receive rainfall/snowfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorms and lightning.
Heavy rain is likely to lash Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 3rd March.
Arunachal Pradesh, northeast Assam and Nagaland are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall on 2nd March.
Light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning has been predicted for Kerala and Lakshadweep.
IMD Weather Update: Heat Wave Warning
Weather is undergoing transition in entire country. The temperature has started to rise and days are getting warmer. Hot and humid weather conditions have started to prevails over several southern states.
IMD further stated that heat wave conditions is likely over Coastal Karnataka on 2nd March.
Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Konkan and Goa on 2nd and 3rd March;
Coastal Karnataka is expected to witness hot and humid weather on 3rd March.
Delhi Weather Forecast:
Mist will engulf parts of national capital on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 28 and 15 degrees Celsius respectively.

Temperature Forecast:
IMD said that there will be gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C over Northwest India during next 2 days.
No significant change in maximum temperatures will be observed over Central India during next 3 days.
Gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C has been predicted over Gujarat during next 2 days.
