IMD Weather Update: India is currently bracing the impact of Western Disturbance which lies over north Pakistan. Under its influence, strong surface wind 20-30 kmph is likely to prevail over plains of northwest India during 5 and 6 March. Rain is likely to lash Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its press release stated, that a fresh Western Disturbance will affect Western Himalayan region from 9th March.
Statewise Forecast
The Western Disturbance will bring rainfall and snowfall to northern states and the Western Himalayan region.
7-10 March:
Rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds will occur in Bihar on 8th March.
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will witness rainfall on 7th and 8th March
Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh experience rainfall and snowfall from 9 to 10 March.
Uttarakhand to experience rain and snow on 10th March.
IMD Weather Update: Temperature Forecast:
Maximum temperature:
IMD has predicted that there will be no significant change in maximum temperatures over Northwest India during next 2 days.
There will be a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C likely over Northeast India during next 2-3.
According to IMD, there will be no significant change in maximum temperatures over Maharashtra during next 3 days.
Gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C is likely to take place over Central India and Gujarat region during next 2 days.
There will be no significant change in maximum temperatures over rest parts of India during next 4-5 days.
Weather Forecast For Delhi
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted strong surface winds to prevail during day time on Wednesday. It has predicted mainly clear sky on 5 March. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 26 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.
Fishermen Warnings:
IMD has issued warning for fishermen and advised them not to venture along and off Gujarat coast on 5th March.
