IMD Weather Update: The heat wave has intensified in different parts of the country after the winter chill faded away. Rising temperatures are already felt in some regions with significant shifts in weather trends. The mercury is set to soar higher over the coming days, however, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts no heat wave in any part of India for the next 4 to 5 days. Meanwhile, the weather will undergo a significant transition, bringing rain to different states.
Potential rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are likely to impact Uttar Pradesh till 22nd March. IMD attributes the following conditions to a Western Disturbance and upper cyclonic circulation. Light showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning will continue over Arunachal Pradesh from the 21st to the 23rd of March, with heavy rainfall on the 21st and 22nd. Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, the Northeast states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are expected to receive light rain and strong surface winds (30 to 50 Kmph) for the next 5 days. Additionally, isolated hailstorms are also likely over south Assam on 20th and 21st March.
