IMD Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported light to moderate rain at many places in South India, including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal from December 10 to 13. Additionally, light to moderate rain is expected in many places, and heavy rain at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on December 11 and 12. According to IMD’s latest information and data, heavy rainfall is also likely over Kerala & Mahe from Dec 11 to 13.
Snowfall/Rain Forecast
A fresh Western Disturbance seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies is very likely to cause Light/moderate rainfall/snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region from December 8 to 11 and light isolated rainfall over Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh on December 8 and 9.
Weather Systems
IMD said that a low-pressure area formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining east equatorial Indian Ocean is likely to move west-northwestwards and become more marked during the next 24 hours. It is expected to reach over the southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu coasts around December 11.

Winter And Dense Fog Forecast
IMD has predicted dense fog conditions during late night and early morning hours in isolated pockets of
Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura till December 9. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh,
and Jharkhand will experience similar conditions from Dec 8 to 10. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh is likely to experience dense fog from Dec 9 to 12 while Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till Dec 10 and Himachal Pradesh during Dec 11 and 12.
With the onset of winter, cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over North Rajasthan from December 9 to 13.
Fishermen Warnings
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the Southeast Bay of Bengal from December 8 to 11 and into the Southwest Bay of Bengal from December 9 to 12. Also, Fishermen should avoid going to Westcentral Bay of Bengal on December 11 and 12.
IMD Weather Forecast For Delhi
Delhi experienced a slight fall in minimum temperature up to 02°C during past the 24 hours. IMD said there will be a mostly clear sky in the Capital on December 9 and 10.
AQI: According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the following AQIs were reported in different parts of Delhi as of 6 am today: Chandni Chowk (319), Ashok Vihar (290), Wajipur (305), Mundka (317), Jahangirpuri (310), Narela (272), R.K. Puram (280), Anand Vihar (338), Pusa (192), and Punjabi Bagh (279).
