India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka today. It has predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe on 5th and 6th November.
IMD said that moderate to dense fog conditions will engulf isolated pockets of northeast Uttar Pradesh on 4th November during morning hours. About the existing weather conditions, IMD informed that a cyclonic circulation lies over southeast Arabian Sea off south Kerala coast in lower tropospheric levels.
Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there is a fall in both maximum and minimum temperatures over Indo-Gangetic plains by about 1-2°C during past 24 hours and no significant change has been observed from remaining parts of Northwest, Central and East India.
It has predicted that maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-4°C over plains of Northwest, Central and East India. While minimum temperature are above normal by 1-2°C over Haryana, Delhi, Odisha and by about 2-4°C over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal.
Forecast Of Temperature
IMD said that no further changes in maximum and minimum temperatures over North and Central India is expected during 3-4 days.
Weather Forecast Over Delhi/NCR During 3rd – 6th November
Delhi will have mainly clear sky, with smog, shallow fog and mist in the morning hours today. IMD said that the wind speed will gradually increase becoming upto 08 kmph from variable directions during afternoon and will decrease thereafter during evening and night.
AQI In Delhi
As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, Air Quality Index (AQI) as of 7 am today stood at 373 which comes under ‘very poor’ category. AQI at different parts of Delhi are recorded as Anand Vihar (433) which comes under ‘severe’ category, Ashok Vihar (409), Rohini (409), Bawana (408), Dwarka-Sector 8 (393), R K Puram (393), Nehru Nagar (399), Patparganj (402) and Vivek Vihar (421).
