India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain over one or two places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area. In Chennai, sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Maximum temperature is expected between 35-36°C and minimum temperature is likely to be 26-27°C. IMD has also forecasted light to moderate rainfall over southern states accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning during 31st October to 1st November. The states which are expected to receive rainfall during these two dates are: Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshwadweep, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka.
IMD has predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Coastal Karnataka on 31st and 1st October. While the southern states are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, IMD has not issued any warning for other parts of the country. IMD in its press release said that no significant weather activity is likely to prevail over rest parts of the country. As per IMD, heavy rainfall was recorded at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam yesterday. The lowest minimum temperature of 16.4°C was recorded at Delhi (Ridge) over the plains of the country and highest maximum temperature was recorded of 41.3°C was recorded at Pokhran in West Rajasthan.
IMD has predicted thunderstorm accompanied with lightning over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
Delhi
Delhi will have mainly clear sky with maximum temperature of 34°C and minimum temperature of 20°C. No other warning has been issued for Delhi by the IMD. As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 304 which comes under very poor category on 28th October at 4 pm. Current AQI of Delhi is 275 as per System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR-India) data. Smog has been reported from various parts of the national capital.

Cold weather conditions have started to prevail over northern parts of the country and is reported from areas like Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
