The weather in Delhi and Noida is clear today, and the sky is shining with bright sunlight. However, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the humidity may increase during the day. The IMD has issued a rain alert for the coming days, in which light rain and thundershowers are expected for the next two days, while heavy rain is expected on September 9.

According to the latest information from the IMD, the monsoon is still active in Delhi, and there may be some change in the weather today. By afternoon, the winds may become strong and there may be light showers, which may continue till night. Similar weather is expected tomorrow. However, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected on September 9 (Wednesday). After this, there may be light clouds and light winds till September 12.
Meanwhile, the weather has changed in Gorakhpur, Deoria, and Kushinagar in eastern Uttar Pradesh due to the cyclonic storm coming from the Bay of Bengal. Light rain and thundershowers may occur in these areas on Sunday. There was a sudden change in the weather on Saturday evening and the sky became densely cloudy. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert on September 10 and 11. Gorakhpur may have light clouds for the next few days, but the sky may become densely cloudy by Wednesday.
In other parts of the country, heavy rain is likely at isolated places in western and northwestern India. According to the weather:
- September 9: Heavy rain is expected in western Rajasthan.
- September 6-8 and 12: Heavy rain may occur in Uttarakhand.
- September 6: Heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
- September 8: Heavy rain may occur in eastern Rajasthan and Gujarat.
- September 6-7: Very heavy rain is expected in Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.
- September 7: Rainfall may increase in eastern and western Rajasthan.
The Meteorological Department has advised people living in these areas to be prepared for heavy rains and strong winds.
