IMD Weather Update: India is going to witness significant changes in weather conditions on 11 and 12th January. A fresh western disturbance is going to impact northern and southern parts of the country. Under its influence, Light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall/snowfall have been predicted over Western Himalayan region. While plains of Northwest India and adjoining central India are expected to receive isolated to scattered during the same period.
Thunderstorm has been predicted over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan on 11th and over Uttarakhand on 11th and 12th January. Isolated hailstorm is also likely over Rajasthan on 11th January. Isolated hailstorm will occur over south Haryana and Rajasthan on 11th January.
Forecast For Southern States
While Northern India braces for cold wave and rain, southern states of the country will also witness significant changes in weather. IMD said that a cyclonic circulation lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal and North Tamil Nadu. Under its influence, the states will see rainfall activity during 11 and 12th January.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning 11th and 12th.

IMD Weather Update: Forecast Of Temperature
Fall in minimum temperatures by about 2°C likely over Northwest India during next 3 days.
Gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-4℃ likely over Central India during next 2 days.
No significant change in minimum temperatures likely over East India during next 24 hours.
Rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ likely over Maharashtra & Gujarat state during next 24 hours.
Cold Wave Warnings
The IMD has issued cold wave for Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 10th January.
Dense Fog Warnings
Dense to very Dense fog Condition will prevail during night/early morning hours in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh till 11th January.
Bihar during 10th -12th, North Madhya Pradesh till 11th; Jharkhand on 10th and 11th; Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till 11th; Rajasthan on 12th; Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 11th & 12th; West Rajasthan on 11th, 13th and 14th; East Rajasthan on 13th & 14th January.
