India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe today. IMD said that heavy rainfall was recorded at isolated places over Kerala and Tamil Nadu yesterday. IMD in its press release said that neutral El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) conditions are currently prevailing over the Equatorial Pacific Ocean and neutral Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) conditions are prevailing over the Indian Ocean.
Rainfall Forecast
IMD has forecasted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal Kerala and Mahe during 7th- 11th November.

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall during 7th- 13th November, whereas Kerala and Mahe will receive rainfall on November 7, 8, 12 and 13.

Forecast Of Temperature
IMD has announced no significant change in minimum and maximum temperatures over most parts of the country during next one week. However IMD added that overall, rainfall is likely to be normal over areas of South Peninsular India and below normal over remaining parts of the country.
About the existing weather system, IMD said that a cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels.
Forecast For Delhi
Delhi will have mainly clear sky today with Smog/Shallow fog/mist in the morning. Smog/ mist are likely to engulf the national capital during night. IMD observed that there has been slight fall in maximum temperature over Delhi/NCR during past 24 hour. The maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi are currently in the range of 30-32°C and 15-19°C respectively.
AQI in Delhi: According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 383 which comes under ‘very poor’ category on Friday at 7 am.
