India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted isolated heavy rainfall over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands today. Additionally, heavy rainfall is also expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from November 7 to 12 and Kerala & Mahe from November 8 to 10. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema may experience heavy downpours on November 9 and 10.
According to IMD, there has been a notable decline in minimum temperature over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. However, the region is expected to experience a clear sky from November 6 To 9.
Kalindi Kunj: The thick toxic foam was spotted floating on the Yamuna River in Kalindi Kunj, as the pollution level in the river remains high.
Delhi’s AQI: A thin layer of smog was witnessed near the Akshardham temple area as the Air Quality Index (AQI) across Delhi dips into the ‘Very Poor’ category in several areas, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Earlier on Wednesday, the Delhi High Court declined permission to observe Chhath Puja rituals at the Yamuna river bank in Geeta Colony, citing dangerous pollution levels in the river.

Heavy Rainfall is most likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from November 7 to 12.
