India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Gujarat region for today. IMD in its press release said that a fresh low pressure area is likely to form over Central Bay of Bengal around 22nd October and isolated heavy rainfall will continue over parts of southern peninsula during next 3-4 days.
South Peninsular India
IMD said that scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall will occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe, Lakshadweep, Karnataka during the week.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall on 20th October. North Interior Karnataka will also receive heavy rainfall on 20th October.
East India
Andaman & Nicobar Islands is expected to receive fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall during the week. Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha will receive isolated heavy rainfall on 23rd and 24th October.
Northwest, West, Central & Northeast India
IMD has not predicted any significant rainfall likely over these regions during the week.
Delhi
Delhi will have mainly clear sky with maximum temperature 35°C of and minimum temperature of 19°C.
The real-time air quality in New Delhi is 339 AQI which falls under ‘very poor’ category.

Fishermen Warning
IMD further added that squally weather with wind speed 35 kmph to 45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is very likely to prevail over along and off Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, adjoining South Gujarat coasts, Lakshadweep area, east central Arabian sea and adjoining southeast Arabian sea.
