India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall likely to occur over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka today. During last 24 hours heavy rainfall was observed in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Saurashtra, Kutch, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Madhya Maharashtra. IMD said that a low pressure area lies over over East central Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea. It is further likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression by 22nd October morning and into a cyclonic storm by 23rd October over East central Bay of Bengal.
East India
Light to moderate rainfall has been predicted over Odisha on 23rd and 26th October
Gangetic West Bengal is expected to receive Light to moderate rainfall on 23rd October.
Jharkhand will also receive light to moderate rainfall at a few places with heavy rainfall at isolated places on 24th October.
South Peninsular India
IMD has forecasted light to moderate rainfall at several places accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Costal & South Interior Karnataka during the week.
Kerala, Mahe, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall during 21-23rd October.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall today.
West India
IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall at various places accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over Konkan, Goa; light to moderate rainfall over rest of the region during next 4 days.
Northeast, Central & Northwest India
No significant rainfall activity has been predicted over these regions during the week.

Delhi
Delhi will have mainly clear sky today with maximum temperature of 35 °C and minimum temperature of 20°C. A layer of fog has started to engulf the national capital and is reported from various locations. According to IMD reports, weather of Delhi is likely to change after 24th October. As per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi as on 21st October stood at 310, which falls under very poor category. The real-time air quality in New Delhi is 333 (Very Poor) AQI. As the AQI of Delhi continues to dip, Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) II has been imposed in Delhi to combat the air pollution level.
