IMD Weather Forecast- Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are predicted for Coastal Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Telangana.

IMD Weather Forecast- South Peninsular India is expected to see increased rainfall activity over the next 4–5 days, with chances of isolated heavy showers. Conditions have also become favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from remaining parts of Gujarat, some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra during next 2-3 days. Weather systems, including cyclonic circulations over parts of north and northeast India, and Bay of Bengal are influencing current weather patterns across the country.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry on Thursday, October 9. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are predicted for Coastal Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Telangana.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms is likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema. Thunderstorms with gusty winds are expected over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Telangana, and Lakshadweep. Lightning may occur in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema.

Northwest India
Isolated to scattered rainfall is expected over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

East India
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall are likely over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha.

Northeast India
Light to moderate rain is likely to lash Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

IMD weather forecast for Bengaluru

The IMD weather update for Bengaluru on Thursday, predicts a rainy day with light to moderate rain forecast. Thundershowers are likely to occur at some places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain around 29°C and 20°C respectively.

In Karnataka, Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Kalburgi, Raichur, Vijayapura, Yadgir, Ramanagara, Mysuru, Kodagu, Hassan, Ballari, Bengaluru (Rural), Chamarajanagara, Chikkaballapura, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Mandya, Shivamogga, Tumakuru and Vijayanagara districts are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

What to expect in Delhi today

The IMD has forecast mainly clear sky conditions in Delhi. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 31 to 33°C and 19 to 21°C respectively. The predominant surface wind will likely to be from the northwest direction with a wind speed of up to 05-10 kmph during morning hours. The wind speed will gradually increase becoming less than 15 kmph from the northwest direction in the afternoon.
