IMD Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rainfall accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning on November 25, 26, and 27 over South Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe. Also, isolated heavy rain is expected over the Nicobar Islands till November 24 and Rayalaseema on Nov 26 and 27.
According to the latest information and data from IMD, light to moderate rainfall is likely at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura today. Meghalaya may experience isolated hailstorm activity on November 22.
IMD Weather Update: Forecast & Warnings
Overall, rainfall is likely to be above normal over northeast India and normal to above normal over South Peninsular India during the week.
IMD has predicted dense fog conditions in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from the late night of November 22 to the early morning of November 24. Dense fog conditions will likely persist during the night and early morning hours in Himachal Pradesh from November 23 to 26. Isolated pockets of Northern India will likely face shallow to moderate fog conditions during this weekend.

Weather Systems
According to the latest weather update, a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal
around November 23 and into a depression over central parts of the south Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 2 days, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls is likely over parts of south Peninsular India during 1st half of the week.
However, no active western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India during the week.
Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over northwest, central, and east India during the next week. Additionally, no cold wave is expected over any part of the country during the week.
IMD Weather Forecast For Delhi
Air pollution in Delhi exceeded 17 times an acceptable level, according to reports. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in the National Capital Region and surrounding areas earlier this week, revised the GRAP. This led to the closure of schools in Delhi-NCR districts of Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddh Nagar under Stages 3 and 4.
AQI: According to the CPCB, the overall AQI in Delhi stood at 369 under the ‘very poor’ category on November 22.
