IMD Weather Update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and South Interior Karnataka today. It has also issued fog warning over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
IMD in its press release said that isolated heavy rainfall is likely to lash Tamil Nadu till 16th November, Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 14th November, Kerala till 17th and over South Interior Karnataka on 14th and 15th November. It added that dense fog is likely to continue in night/morning hours over northwest India during next 2-3 days.
About the existing weather system, IMD said yesterday’s low pressure area over southwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts has become less marked. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over southeast Arabian Sea off Kerala coast in lower tropospheric levels, stated IMD.

IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall at a few places accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during 13th -16th November.

Fog Warning
It said that dense to very dense fog conditions will prevail in night/early morning hours in isolated parts of Punjab till 15th , over Himachal Pradesh till 18th morning; Haryana, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand till 16th, Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan till 15th November.

Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there has been no significant change in minimum temperature over most parts of the country during past 24 hours. Sidhi in East Madhya Pradesh recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.4°C yesterday.
IMD Weather Update: Forecast Of Temperature
Meteorological Department has predicted gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C very likely over northwest India during next 5 days. No significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over central India during next 5 days. It added that gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 3-4°C will take place over East India during next 5 days
There will be rise by 2-3°C in minimum temperatures over West India during next 3 days and Gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C thereafter.
Weather Forecast Over Delhi/NCR
IMD observed that there has been slight fall in minimum temperature over Delhi/NCR during past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi is in the range of 30-33°C and 14 -18°C respectively. Delhi will have mainly clear sky with smog /dense to very dense fog in the morning.
AQI in Delhi: According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s AQI stood at 432 (Severe category) on Thursday at 6 am.
AQI recorded from other areas in Delhi: Anand Vihar (473), Patparganj (472), Bawana (456), Jahangirpuri (470), Najafgarh (460), Dwarka-Sector 8 (457), Punjabi Bagh (459), Okhla Phase-2 (441), Mandir Marg (441).
