India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. It has forecasted rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and south Coastal Andhra Pradesh during 7th -10th November 2024. No other significant activity has been predicted over rest parts of the country during the week. IMD said that heavy rainfall was recorded during last 24 hours in Tamil Nadu. Dense fog conditions over isolated parts of northeast Uttar Pradesh has been predicted by the IMD today during morning hours.
About the current weather system, IMD said that a cyclonic circulation lies over central parts of south Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels.
Rainfall Forecast For Southern States
IMD has forecasted isolated heavy rainfall over Andaman & Nicobar Islands today, over south Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during 5th– 9th November.
Kerala and Mahe are also expected to receive heavy rainfall during 8th– 10th November; Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema will also receive rainfall during 8th– 10th November.

Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there has been no significant change in minimum temperatures over the entire country. However, maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-4°C over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
Furthermore, IMD has predicted no significant change in maximum and minimum temperatures over the country during next 1 week.
Delhi
IMD in its press release said that there has been slight fall in maximum temperature over Delhi/NCR during past 24 hour. The maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi is in the range of 29-32°C and 14-19°C respectively. Smog condition was dominant in the region, said the IMD.
Delhi will have mainly clear sky and will be engulfed by Smog/Shallow fog/mist in the morning. Smog and mist is predicted during night also. Surface wind is likely prevail from variable directions with wind speed less than 04 kmph during morning hours.
AQI in Delhi: According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, AQI in Delhi was recorded at 359 (Very poor) at 6am on Wednesday.

AQI at other parts of Delhi was recorded at Mundka (418), Ashok Vihar (398), Chandni Chowk (312), Dwarka-Sector 8 (356), Jahangirpuri (397), Nehru Nagar (381), Punjabi Bagh (389), Patparganj (383), New Moti Bagh (382), Vivek Vihar (383), R K Puram (373), Narela (378), Najafgarh (357).
