IMD Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rainfall at isolated places over interior Tamil Nadu & its districts adjoining Kerala On December 2 and 3. Light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy rain is also expected over South Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema on December 2 and 3 respectively. According to IMD’s latest information and data, Coastal Karnataka may experience light to moderate rainfall in many places with heavy rainfall at isolated places on December 2 and 3. Additionally, IMD has warned against heavy rainfall in Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep on December 4.

IMD Weather Update On Cyclone Fengal
Heavy rainfall has been recorded in different parts of Tamil Nadu since Saturday. The cyclonic storm ‘Fengal’ made landfall along Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts on November 30, and has caused widespread flooding in several areas, especially in Cuddalore.
In response, a holiday has been declared today, December 2, in all schools and colleges in Puducherry. Additionally, schools and colleges of Villupuram, Cuddalore, Vellore, and Ranipet districts of Tamil Nadu will also remain shut today.

Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed there was no significant change in minimum temperature over most parts of the country during the past 24 hours. No significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over Northwest and East India during the next 5 days.
Also, there may be a gradual rise in minimum temperature over Central India by 2-3℃ during the next 3 days and no significant change thereafter. West India will experience a gradual fall in minimum temperature by 2-4℃ during the next 3 days.
IMD Weather Forecast For Delhi
Delhi experienced a rise in minimum temperature up to 2°C and a slight rise in maximum
temperature over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. Additionally, IMD said there will be a clear sky in the National Capital Region from Dec 2 to 4.
AQI: The overall AQI in Delhi was recorded at 285 under the ‘Poor’ Category on Monday. Different parts of Delhi such as R.K. Puram recorded an AQI of 216, while Punjabi Bagh reported a lower AQI of 295.
