IMD Weather Update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. IMD in its press release said that a well marked low pressure area exists over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is very likely to cause heavy to very rainfall over Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry during 25th -27th November. It will be followed by isolated heavy rainfall on 28th and 29th November.
Rainfall Forecast
IMD has forecasted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning over coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during 25th-28th November.
South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are expected to receive rainfall on 27th and 28th November. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will also receive light to moderate rainfall during 27th-29th November.
Light to moderate rainfall has been forecasted over North eastern states.
Assam, Meghalaya will receive rainfall during 27th-30th November, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 24th-27th November, Odisha during 27th-29th and Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on 24th November.

While southern and north eastern states are expected to receive heavy to light and moderate rainfall, northern parts of the country will be engulfed by dense fog.
IMD has warned of dense fog conditions very likely to prevail during early morning hours in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh during 27th -29th , Himachal Pradesh during 24th -28th and Uttar Pradesh during 28th -30th November.

Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there has been no significant change in minimum temperature over most parts of the country during past 24 hours.
MD Weather Update: Forecast Of Temperature
IMD has said that no significant change in minimum temperatures will be observed over northwest India during 48 hours, but a gradual fall by 2- 3°C thereafter will occur except in Rajasthan.
It said that no change will occur in minimum temperatures over Maharashtra during 24 hours nbut a gradual fall by 2-3°C thereafter for subsequent 3-4 days is expected.
IMD further added that no significant change in minimum temperatures will be observed over rest parts of the country during next 5 days.
Weather Forecast Over Delhi/NCR
While there has been no significant change in minimum temperatures, maximum temperatures over Delhi/NCR has risen upto 2°C during past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi is currently in the range of 26 to 29°C and 10 to 14°C respectively.
Delhi will have mainly clear sky with smog/ shallow to moderate fog likely in the morning.
Smog/ shallow fog is likely to prevail during evening/night also.
AQI In Delhi
According to Central Pollution Control Board , AQI in Delhi has been recorded 278 at 6 am on Monday which comes under ‘poor’ category.
AQI in other parts of Delhi: Anand Vihar (334), Jahangirpuri (323), Punjabi Bagh (316), Narela (311) Rohini (312), Patparganj (387), Anand Vihar (312), Chandni Chowk (244).
