IMD Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rainfall accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning on November 21, 25, and 26 over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. According to the latest information and data from IMD, very heavy rain is likely in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam & Rayalaseema on November 26.
IMD Weather Update: Forecast & Warnings
IMD has predicted dense fog conditions in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from late night of November 22 to early morning of November 24 and in East Uttar Pradesh on November 21 in the morning hours. Dense fog conditions will likely persist during the night and early morning hours in Himachal Pradesh from November 23 to 25.

Weather Systems
According to the latest weather update, an upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas today. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and become a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 23.
Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 2 days. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation lies over the southeast Arabian sea off the Kerala coast at lower tropospheric levels.
Temperature Conditions And Forecast
IMD observed that there will be no major change in minimum temperature over most parts of the country during the next five days. Minimum temperatures are appreciably above normal (3°C to 5°C) at isolated places over Bihar and above normal i.e 2°C to 3°C at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
During the past 24 hours, the lowest minimum temperature of 7.3°C was reported at Adampur IAF (Punjab) over the plains of the country.
IMD Weather Forecast For Delhi
Delhi experienced a slight decline in maximum and minimum temperatures during the past 24 hours. The National capital region will have a mainly clear sky from November 21 to 23. The city’s AQI slightly improved but remained in a ‘severe’ category on Wednesday as a thin blanket of smog engulfed parts of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and other areas.
AQI: According to the CPCB, Delhi’s Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 406, and several other places including Ashok Vihar (416), Bawana (419), Dwarka sector-8 (404), Jahangirpuri (437), Munka (416), and Nehru Nagar(410) remained in a severe category at 6 am on Thursday. The overall AQI in Delhi stood at 381 under the ‘very poor’ category on November 21.
