India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted extremely heavy rainfall over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal, whereas heavy rainfall has been predicted for Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal are expected to receive isolated extremely heavy rainfall today and on 25th October. IMD in its press release has informed about the impact of Cyclone Dana over districts of Odisha and West Bengal. It has released separate information about Cyclone Dana on its website.
East India
Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted by the IMD over Baleswar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur Kendujhar, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khorda and Puri districts of Odisha today.
South & North 24 Parganas, East & West Medinipur, Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata and Bankura districts of Gangetic West Bengal are expected to receive extremely heavy rainfall today.
Light to moderate rainfall has been predicted over south Jharkhand today.
South Peninsular India
IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala,Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema during next 3-4 days.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe will receive isolated heavy rainfall today.
Northeast India
IMD has forecasted light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next 3 days.
Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will receive isolated heavy rainfall today.
Central, West & Northwest India
IMD has predicted no rainfall likely over these regions during the week.
Shallow to moderate Fog is likely to form during morning hours over Punjab today.

Delhi
Delhi will have mainly clear sky with maximum temperature of 33°C and minimum temperature of 19°C. As per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the AQI of Delhi stood at 364 which comes under very poor category. Layer of smog has started to engulf parts of the national capital.
Cyclone Dana
IMD in its press release said that cyclonic storm Dana lying over eastcentral and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 15 kmph during past 6 hours. It has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm over central and northwest Bay of Bengal and lay. IMD informed that it is likely to move northwestwards and cross north Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar Island close to Bhitarkanika and Dhamara (Odisha) during mid-night of 24th October to morning of 25th October. This phenomenon will result in a severe Cyclonic storm with a wind speed of 100-110 kmph gusting 120 kmph.
Rainfall Warning In View Of Cyclone Dana
Seeing the cyclonic storm condition, IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall and heavy to very heavy rainfall over Baleswar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur Kendujhar, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khorda and Puri districts of Odisha today.
South and North 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata and Bankura districts of Gangetic West Bengal are expected to receive light to moderate and heavy rainfall today.
IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall over south Jharkhand today.
Fishermen Warning
IMD has also issued warning for fishermen keeping in view the effects of cyclone Dana.
It has suspended fishing operations totally for today and 25th October over Central and North Bay of Bengal. It has advised fishermen not to venture into eastcentral and westcentral Bay of Bengal till 24th October.
IMD further added that the impact of cyclone Dana is expected over Baleswar, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khorda, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal districts of Odisha and East and West Medinipur, South and North 24 Parganas, Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata, and Bankura districts of West Bengal.
