IMD Weather Update: Northern India is expected to witness significant changes in weather conditions over the next 3-4 days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warning for another Western Disturbance which is likely to affect northwest India from night of 4th January. It is expected to cause light isolated to scattered rainfall/snowfall over Western Himalayan region from 1st to 3rd January; and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/snowfall on 4th and 5th January 2025.

Forecast Of Temperature:
IMD in its press release said that no significant change in minimum temperatures will occur over Western Himalayan region during next 2 days.
No significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over plains of Northwest India during next 2 days.
However, a fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ is expected to occur over Central and East India during next 2-3 days and no significant change thereafter.
Also, there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures likely over Gujarat State during next 5 days.
Cold Wave Warnings
Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over isolated pockets of Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 31st December.

IMD has issued cold Day warning for Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on 31st, Haryana, Chandigarh on 31st December, West Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh on 31st December and 1st January.
Dense Fog Warnings
Dense fog conditions are very likely to prevail during late night/early morning hours in isolated pockets of Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 31st December; Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh on 31st December and 1st January; Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till 1st January; Himachal Pradesh till 2nd January.
Weather Forecast For Delhi
The IMD has predicted cold day for 31st December. It has issued yellow alert for shallow to moderate fog along with cold day. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 15 degrees and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.
