IMD Weather LIVE Updates: The monsoon will likely arrive in Kerala on May 27, 2025. At the same time, the onset of monsoon will be witnessed in Maharashtra during the first week of June. Mumbai will also see an early arrival of monsoon this year, against its official date of June 11, 2025. On the other hand, several states have been experiencing an unusual pre-monsoon rainfall activity over the last few days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 30-50 kmph over Northeast India during the next 7 days. Meanwhile, the affected southern regions, likely to receive torrential rain, include Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on 19th-20th; Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka during 19th-24th; Lakshadweep on 19th; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during 20th-22nd; Rayalaseema on 19th-20th; South Interior Karnataka during 19th-21st May.
