IMD Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, while heavy rain is expected to lash Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe today.

Rainfall Forecast

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall on 12^th December, while isolated heavy rainfall will occur likely on 13^th, 16^th and 17^th December.

Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka will receive heavy rainfall on 12^th December.

Heavy rainfall has been predicted for Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 13^th and 14^th December.

Temperature, Cold Wave And Fog Forecast

Forecast Of Temperature
IMD said that no significant change in minimum temperatures will occur over Northwest and Central India during next 4-5 days. However, it has forecasted gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ likely over East India during next 2 days. It further added that gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ will be observed over West India during next 2-3 days.

IMD Weather Alert: Cold Wave Warnings

IMD stated that cold wave conditions will prevail over Rajasthan during 12^th-16^th, Punjab during 11^th -16^th, Haryana- Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh during 12^th-16^th, Saurashtra, Kutch on 12^th, Delhi during 12^th-13^th, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad during 13^th-16^th December.

Cold Day Warnings

Meteorological Department has issued warning of cold day for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during 12^th-13^th December.

Dense Fog Warnings

IMD said that dense fog conditions will prevail during late night/early morning hours in parts of East Uttar Pradesh till 12^th, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar till 13^th, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura till 14^th December morning hours.

IMD Weather Alert: Snowfall

Light rain/snow fall likely at isolated places in the districts Lahaul & Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur, and higher reaches of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh on 12^th December.

Ground Frost Warnings

Ground Frost conditions will occur in isolated pockets of Uttarakhand on 12^th December.

Weather Forecast For Delhi

Delhi will have mainly clear sky with cold wave conditions at isolated places. Smog/mist will prevail in the evening/night. The maximum and minimum temperature will remain 23°C and 4°C respectively today.
