IMD Weather Alert: Heavy Rain In Bihar, Odisha – Which Other Areas Will See Rain Today And Tomorrow? – Check Forecast

Due to an active western disturbance and an upper cyclonic circulation, several regions are set to receive heavy rain on 27th and 28th April. The affected places include Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

IMD Weather Update: While several states continue to suffer at the hands of the intense weather conditions, some are experiencing respite due to rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported heat wave conditions in isolated pockets of Vidarbha over the past 24 hours. Meghalaya and Kerala, on the other hand, recorded heavy to extreme rainfall. According to IMD’s latest press release, Assam and Meghalaya will be hit by rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds gusting to 60 km/h today, 27th April.

Heavy Rain Warning In Multiple States

Due to an active western disturbance and an upper cyclonic circulation, several regions are set to receive heavy rain on 27th and 28th April. The affected places include Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The list, however, doesn’t end here. Isolated heavy rainfall is also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar on 27th & 28th; Gangetic West Bengal on 28th; Jharkhand on 29th, and Odisha during 28th-30th April.

Rain, Thundersquall Warning

Residents in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and East Uttar Pradesh can expect a change in weather conditions soon. The Met Department has predicted light showers, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (speed 40 to 50 Km/h) over these regions till 30th April. Meanwhile, a warning for thundersquall is also in place over Gangetic and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Odisha on 27th, 28th, and 29th April.

More Rain In Tamil Nadu, Kerala

A fresh spell of rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds is likely over a few southern regions during the next 7 days. The affected places are Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal. According to IMD, isolated hailstorm activity is likely over North Interior Karnataka on 27th April.
