NDRF teams moved for the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and for UT of Puducherry, due to prediction of heavy rainfall. The predication of heavy rainfall to take place is from November 26 to November 28.
A National Disaster Response Force have been deployed in Nagapatnam, Cuddalore, Maiyladuthurai, Tiruvarur and Karaikkal. On other end two NDRF teams have been deployed in Thanjavur, as per the official release.
Regional Metrological Centre of IMD in chennai have predicted heavy rainfall in some of the districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. They have stated the dates from November 26 to November 28.

According to the release, the team of NDRF is self-contained and are equipped with all equipment.
IMD predicted that some areas in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. For the precautions the NDRF teams have been deployed in some specific areas in the state.

IMD mentioned that, “It is very likely to continue to move north-northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm on 27th November. Thereafter, it will continue to move north-northwestwards towards Tamil Nadu coast skirting Sri Lanka coast during the subsequent two days.”
The press release mentions that, “Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu & Puducherry on 26th & 27th and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely on 28th and heavy rainfall at isolated places on 29th November.”
