IAF Jawan Surendra Singh Martyred In Pakistani Airstrike At Udhampur, CM Sharma Calls Him ‘Brave Son Of Rajasthan’

Jhunjhunu district collector, Ramavatar Meena and district police superintendent Sharad Chaudhary visited his family and informed them about Singh's demise.

Surendra Singh Moga, a 36-year-old Assistant Medical Sergeant with the Indian Air Force (IAF) posted at the Udhampur airbase in Jammu and Kashmir, was killed in a Pakistani airstrike early Saturday morning. Surendra hailed from Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan and had been working with the armed forces for over 14 years. He had been stationed at the 39th wing of the IAF at the Udhampur airbase. Singh was posted in Lucknow earlier, and had been transferred to Udhampur two months ago. He had visited Jhunjhunu last in April for a function organised for his new house. As the tragic news broke, his wife’s health deteriorated and she was admitted hospital.

It is reported that on April 20, Singh had returned to Udhampur airbase with his wife, Seema. However, she had come to Jhunjhunu 10 days ago after the death of her grandfather and was planning to return Udhampur soon.
