Second In Three Months

Earlier in April, a two-seater Jaguar aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed shortly after taking off on a night mission from the Jamnagar Airbase. According to the IAF, the accident was caused by a technical fault during the flight. The aircraft was steered away from residential areas before the pilots ejected. In this incident, pilot Siddharth Yadav died due to serious injuries at the time of ejection, while the other pilot was injured.

A similar accident also happened in March 2025, when a fighter jet crashed during a routine training mission in the Panchkula district of Haryana. At that time, the Air Force said that the pilot faced technical difficulties but wisely took the plane away from the populated area and ejected safely.
