‘I Have Even Sold My Car’: BJP Leader Manohar Lal Dhakad Reacts For The First Time To Obscene Viral Video From Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

A CCTV footage from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway surfaced a few days ago, sending shockwaves across Madhya Pradesh. The video allegedly shows BJP leader Manohar Lal Dhakad in a “compromising position” with a woman outside a car, engaging in what is described as an “obscene act.” The purported clip, involving the local political figure from Mandsaur, went viral on Saturday. Dhakad has now responded to the allegations after being granted bail.

Manohar Dhakad has called the video spreading rapidly on social media as fake. Along with this, he has also been accused of defaming him under a conspiracy. Manohar Lal Dhakad’s statement has come out on the video of the incident that happened on the night of 13 May.

According to Aaj Tak report, Manohar Lal Dhakad said the viral video is fake. “The viral video is fake. I was not in it, and the car was also not mine. I had sold the car. The truth will come out after investigating the authenticity of the video. I will strongly present my side in the court and file a defamation case against those who made the video viral,” said the BJP leader.

After iteh viral video sparked widespread discussions with political undertones, an FIR was filed against Dhakad and the co-accused under sections 296 (obscene acts), 285 (danger or obstruction in public ways or lines of navigation) and 3(5) (joint criminal liability) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).

When Dhakad was asked why he remained underground for 8 days before bail, he replied, “The police had taken the car from my house. I was scared because my image was being tarnished. So I remained silent.”

How BJP And Family Reacted

The controversy deepened after Dhakad’s political links emerged. His wife, Sohan Bai, is the elected sarpanch (village head) and a district panchayat member from Ward No 8 in Bani village, Mandsaur. However, the BJP has sought to distance itself from the scandal.

During the conversation, when Manohar Dhakad was asked where he was for so many days before bail, Dhakad said that the police had taken the car from my house- “I was scared because my image was getting tarnished. So I kept quiet.” The obscene and objectionable video of the highway went viral. The police arrested Manohar Lal and registered a case under sections 296 (public obscenity) and section 286 (causing danger by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. At present, the court has granted him bail.

What Happened After Obscene Video Surfaced

After a video of him being found in an objectionable condition with his female friend in a public place surfaced, the society also shunned him, and he was removed from the post of National Minister of the Youth Association of Dhakad Samaj. Meanwhile, the BJP says that the person seen in the video is not a primary member of the party. Meanwhile, it was revealed that he had demanded a sum of Rs 1 lakh to not make the video viral. However, he only gave Rs 20,000. Due to this, his video was made viral.
