Hyderabad: A software engineer who was dancing for a long time during the Ganpati festival at Manikonda reportedly died due to a heart attack on Sunday, September 15. According to the police, the 29-year-old man collapsed just as he was about to grab the Laddu from the Mandap. 

The techie who was a resident of Alkapuri, had successfully bid Rs 15 lakh for a Laddu in an auction at the Ganesh festival. Reports suggest that the victim suffered a massive heart attack after dancing for a long time. 

He was immediately rushed to a private hospital after the event took place. However, upon reaching the doctors declared him dead. His body was later moved to a government-run hospital for postmortem, before handing over to his family.

Other Recent Incidents Of Heart Attacks

Recently, a young man from Kozhikode in Kerala died on the spot while playing football on a turf field in Dubai.

In yet another recent incident, a woman from Gujarat’s Valsad died from cardiac arrest while celebrating her son’s birthday. The video of the incident, captured on CCTV is being widely circulated on social media.

What Causes Heart Attacks In Young People?

What’s behind the surge in cardiac arrests among youths? Well, the factors contributing to the rise in heart attacks in youth can be due to lifestyle and eating habits. Besides other factors like Diabetes, Blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity, heart attack can result from lack of physical activity, smoking, stress, poor diet, etc. According to reports, a nutritious diet and healthy lifestyle changes can significantly reduce the risk.
