Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the Vande Bharat train between Secunderabad and Tirupati in Hyderabad.

Before flagging off, Prime Minister inspected the Semi-high Speed train with school children. it will reduce the travel time by three and a half hours between Hyderabad and Tirupati.

Earlier, PM arrived in Hyderabad today morning. He will lay the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 11,300 crore.
He was received by union minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at Hyderabad Airport. State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay was also present at the airport.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not receive PM Modi at the airport, he sent Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav to receive PM, instead.
K Chandrasekhar Rao would also skip PM Modi’s scheduled programmes in the state.
