Hyderabad Physiotherapist Murders Wife And Toddler Daughters To Be With Girlfriend; A Mistake Leads To Arrest

Hyderabad physiotherapist Boda Praveen staged a car accident to cover up the murders of his wife and daughters. Investigation revealed the truth, leading to his arrest 45 days later.

A Hyderabad physiotherapist’s attempt to disguise the murders of his wife and two young daughters as a car accident was thwarted when police uncovered the scheme and arrested him on Sunday. Boda Praveen was taken into custody 45 days after the incident occurred in Khammam district.

The incident happened on May 28 when the family was en route from Hyderabad to their hometown in Khammam district. Praveen initially claimed that their car had collided with a tree by the roadside, leading to the deaths of his wife, Boda Kumari, 26, and their two young daughters, aged 2 and 3.

However, an investigation at the accident site raised suspicions among the authorities. Further examination revealed that Praveen had staged the entire scene to cover up the murders.

Khammam ACP SV Ramanamurthy revealed that Praveen, a 32-year-old physiotherapist, was having an affair with a colleague at the hospital where he worked. When his wife discovered the affair, the couple had a fierce argument. Praveen saw his family as obstacles to his relationship and decided to eliminate them.

He administered a lethal injection to his wife under the guise of treating her health problems. After his wife, Kumari, passed away, he strangled their daughters. He then staged a car accident by crashing the vehicle into a tree, intending to cover up the murders as a tragic accident. However, the thorough police investigation uncovered the truth, leading to Praveen’s arrest on Sunday.

According to Kondal Rao, the SHO of the Ragunathpalem police station in Khammam district, Pawan was in the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and had returned to Hyderabad to live a normal life.

Kondal Rao said, “Initially, we were suspicious after noticing needle marks on Kumari’s body. There were no other injuries found on Kumari or the children. After the post-mortem, we handed over the bodies to their relatives. On the same day, an investigation team visited the scene. The accident was not as severe as Praveen had claimed. We conducted a thorough search of the car and found a syringe. Although it was empty, we considered it a clue.”

The police sent the syringe to the forensic lab for further investigation. Meanwhile, they did not question Praveen, who continued to live his normal life. The accused was working as a physiotherapist at German Town Hospital in the Attapur area of Hyderabad. Sources indicate that Praveen was living in a rented apartment with his girlfriend, Soni Francis, who worked as a nurse at the same hospital where Praveen was employed. It was also revealed that Praveen showed no concern for how Kumari’s relatives were coping with her death.
