Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the second phase—a 76.4 km stretch—of the metro project. While urging for approval, the minister informed that the project is estimated to be around Rs 24,269 crore. Apart from the metro project, CM also sought funding for the redevelopment of the Musi River.
According to the official press statement, the meeting was held on Wednesday, and the CM pointed out that the previous government, in their 10-year tenure, neglected the metro expansion in Hyderabad. CM Reddy requested the approval of a dry port in Hyderabad to facilitate the import and export of goods since Telangana is a landlocked state.

He further proposed the construction of a greenfield road and a rail line from the proposed dry port to a seaport. Reddy also requested Rs 20,000 crore from Prime Minister Modi for the rejuvenation of Hyderabad's Musi River. The Musi redevelopment plan includes restoration of Bapu Ghat—a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi on the riverbanks, construction of some 27 sewage treatment plants, and development of retaining walls linking the Musi with the Godavari River.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state ecosystem by soliciting Prime Minister Modi's sanction for the India Semiconductor Mission Project. Besides this, the Chief Minister appealed to Prime Minister Modi to approve the southern portion of the Regional Ring Road in Hyderabad, emphasizing that 90 percent of the land acquisition had already been completed in the northern part.
The chief minister stated that the utility of RRR is more effective only if the work for both southern and northern parts of it is completed simultaneously. A proposal for a Regional Ring Rail project parallel to the Regional Ring Road (RRR) aimed at reinforcing railway connectivity within Telangana and among the neighbouring states was outlined as well.
