New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday took a review meeting over the security situation in Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir.
In a high-level meeting at the north block office of the Ministry of Home Affairs which was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Dobhal, Jammu And Kashmir Director General of Police Dibagh Singh, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, and other senior officers of Home Ministry and Central Armed Forces, Amit shah reviewed security situation in the valley.
Director Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, R&AW chief Samant Kumar Goel, NIA DG Dinkar Gupta and CRPF Director General SL Thaosen also attended the meeting.
Recently, Home Minister chaired a similar review meeting over the situation in the erstwhile state from time to time.

In the last six months, the cases of attacks on Civilians and security personnel have increased, and many civilians have lost their lives in such targeted attacks.
In October last year, during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Home Minister also held a high-level meeting over the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Home Minister also held a similar meeting in December last year in New Delhi.
