Cyclone Biporjoy: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday conducted an aerial survey of areas which are affected due to Cyclone Biporjoy in the Kachchh district of Gujarat. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also accompanied him. According to Meteorological Department (IMD), the intensity of the cyclone started weakening and in the next 12 hours, its impact will be dim. It has now reduced to 'severe' from the 'very severe' category after the cyclone made landfall in the coastal area of the western state of Gujarat. it has weakened into a deep depression and it would weaken into a; depression' in the coming hours. Several areas of Rajasthan witnessed heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours as the cyclone moved towards the deserted state of Rajasthan after its landfall in Gujarat.
After conducting aerial survey the Union Minster visited Mandvi Civil Hospital and met people admitted here.
