People planning to travel this Holi need to be aware of the routes that are open in the national capital. On Tuesday, the Delhi Traffic Police issued an alert regarding traffic disruptions. Through this, they mentioned that several routes will be affected due to the construction work on the airport drain extension. According to the police, MP Road Number 205, from T-point Road No. 205 and Sahabad Village Road crossing to Road No. 205 and Sector-22 Road crossing, will be closed due to the construction of the Airport Drain Extension. As a result, traffic will be diverted, affecting commuters traveling from Sector 21 Metro Station towards Dwarka Court, Sector 1, 7, and 8.
To manage the situation, barricades have been placed on Road Number 205, starting from T-point Road Number 205 and Sahabad Village Road crossing to Road Number 205 and Sector 22. Travelers heading to and from Delhi should be aware of this diversion. The disruption is expected to last for approximately one month, leading to increased traffic on Sector 22 Road and Sector 9 Road.
On Holi, people traveling for celebrations or other reasons should check their routes before leaving home. According to the Delhi Traffic Police, vehicles coming from Dwarka Court, traveling from Dwarka Sector 1 towards Kapashera via Road Number 205 and Sector 21 Metro Station, must take a right turn on Road Number 205, then a left turn on Sector 9 Road, followed by another left turn at Janki Chowk on Sector 22 towards Sector 21 Metro Station.
Recently, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that on March 14, train services across all Delhi Metro lines, including the Airport Express Line, will remain unavailable until 2:30 PM due to Holi celebrations. Normal operations will resume thereafter.
