The temporary suspension of metro services done for Holi is an annual one that is meant to safeguard the safety of com-dulge and tackle the crowd control around the festival activities from sabotage. This spring measures the authorities throughout Holi came in contact with disturbed because of the plan, so they changed into apathetic about curbing any break in the celebrations.
Commuters needing travel before 2:30 PM may turn to other means of transportation, like DTC buses or private firms, auto-rickshaws, taxis, or even apps-based cab services like Uber and Ola. Then again, from 2:30 in the afternoon, all the metro trains will start again at normal times to assure an uninterrupted flow of passengers on the road to the NCR.
Passengers are requested to plan their journeys accordingly and make alternate arrangements if need be. The DMRC further suggests that passengers check real-time updates regarding any last-minute changes through its official website and social media handles. For more, commuters can contact the helpline of Delhi Metro or visit the DMRC website.
The Delhi Metro provides crucial connectivity to daily commuters. Temporary suspension may cause little inconvenience to the commuters; however, this ensures smooth and safe travel after the celebration of Holi. Travellers are, therefore, urged to plan accordingly to avoid disruptions.
