Opposition raised the issue in the Parliament
The opposition parties including congress are continuously attacking the central government over Hindenburg-Adani dispute. The opposition raised the issue during the budget session. They have demanded to set-up Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the matter. Leaders of Opposition parties along with former Congress president Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this issue. They have questioned the investment of LIC and some public sector banks in shares of Adani group’s companies.SEBI will investigate the matter
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court that SEBI has agreed to set up a committee to protect the interests of investors. Mehta also said that the government has no objection to appointing a committee to investigate.
