Himachal Pradesh: In a shocking incident, at least seven people were killed after a bus fell into a gorge near the Maseran area of the Sarkaghat sub-division in Himachal Pradesh. The accident site is located approximately 60 km from Mandi. Around 20 to 25 injured individuals have been taken to Sarkaghat Hospital and are receiving medical treatment. Some are reported to be in critical condition. Meanwhile, rescue and relief operations are underway. SP Mandi, Sakshi Verma, said that the police and local administration are actively involved in the efforts.

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took to X to express grief over the incident. He wrote, “The news of the death of four people due to an HRTC bus falling into a gorge near Tarangla in Maseran, Sarkaghat subdivision of Mandi district, is extremely tragic and heart-wrenching. Instructions have been issued to the district administration to immediately take the injured to the hospital and ensure their treatment.” Meanwhile, he offered his condolences to the departed souls and their bereaved families. The CM also wished for the speedy recovery of all the injured.
