In Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a shocking incident unfolded when a young man climbed a high-tension tower after a quarrel with his wife. Upon receiving information, his wife also climbed the tower to persuade him to come down, but the man refused. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, caused a stir among authorities.
According to reports, the drama occurred in Rayapur Bhasraul village under the jurisdiction of Kishanpur police station, where Pappu Nishad, a resident, went to his in-laws’ place reportedly under the influence of alcohol. His wife, Kesia Devi, who was staying at her parental home, attempted to summon him. However, an argument ensued between the couple, leading Pappu to climb the high-tension tower near Itaura village on the way back.

Local villagers recorded the entire incident and shared it on social media platforms, prompting Kesia to rush to the scene and plead with her husband to descend. Despite her efforts, Pappu remained adamant due to his intoxicated state. Authorities were alerted by villagers, and a team led by Additional District Magistrate Avinash Tripathi arrived promptly with other officials.

Officials from the power grid were contacted to cut off the electricity supply. Subsequently, late at night around 11 PM, the young man was brought down from the tower. However, during this time, upon persuasion by officers, the wife also descended from the tower. Additional District Magistrate Avinash Tripathi explained that after safely bringing down the young man from the Sakushal tower, he was sent for medical examination at Khaaga Community Health Center.
