Police uncovered a high-profile sex racket during a raid on a hotel in Thane, Maharashtra. They arrested a Yemeni national accused of trafficking women from Thailand using fake documents. The victims were coerced into prostitution after being deceived. Authorities also seized fake Aadhar cards and PAN cards from the arrested women.

The accused is 42-year-old Baghdi Abdullah Muged Saad. Police received confidential information about the racket, prompting the Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) to raid the hotel. During the operation, they apprehended a 44-year-old Thai woman and rescued three other Thai women.

DCP (Crime) Shivraj Patil stated that Saad had forged documents for all four women, who were subsequently coerced into prostitution. The visas for all four women and Saad had expired.

Despite this, these individuals were residing illegally in India. Police have initiated an investigation under the Foreigners Act. In February of this year, authorities uncovered a similar racket in Thane involving film actresses.

A producer operated the racket under the pretext of film production, enticing B-grade actresses into illicit activities. Customers were charged significant sums of money. The police arrested 55-year-old Solomon Ratnamayya Narkanthelu and rescued four women from the location. This illicit business had been ongoing for an extended period.
