New Delhi: Chief Minister of Delhi and the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party has declared the face of the Chief Minister for the upcoming Gujarat elections. He has declared Isudhan Gadhvi as the contender for the top post of the state.
Gadhvi was elected through public voting
Gadhvi has been selected on the basis of a public opinion that the party ran in the state. AAP had earlier urged the people of the state to contact them via SMS, WhatsApp, voice mail, and email and vote to help determine the party its CM face.
According to AAP, around 15 lakh votes were casted. The date of the voting was October 29 and it closed at 5 pm. Isudhan Gadhvi is the national joint general secretary of AAP. he said, “our central team managed the entire poll. We do not have the exact number of supporters who voted through various methods, but the number will be several lakhs. About 15 lakh entries were received on the first day, October 29.”
He also said, “I am just a soldier of the party. We all work as a team, and none have expressed the desire to be chief minister.”
EC announced polling schedule in Gujarat
In Gujarat, the poll bugle has already been sounded for the assembly elections. Voting for the state assembly will be held in two phases. Voting will be held in the state in two phases and in November. Whereas the votes will be counted on December and after that the new government will be formed. The term of the Gujarat government is ended on February 23, 2023.
