Helicopter En Route Mumbai-Hyderabad Crashes In Pune, Four Injured

No deaths from the helicopter crash in Pune have been reported so far.

Pune: A private helicopter flying from Mumbai to Hyderabad crashed in Pune’s Paud village on Saturday, August 24. Out of the four people in the chopper, three are in stable condition but the captain has sustained injuries and is admitted to a nearby hospital. No deaths from the crash have been reported.

SP Pankaj Deshmukh, Pune Rural Police confirmed that the chopper is owned by a private aviation company named Global Vectra. The AW 139 helicopter had Anand Captain, Deep Bhatia, Amardeep Singh, and SP Ram on board.

Helicopter Crash In Nepal

Nepal also witnessed a similar helicopter crash on August 7. The crash took place in the mountains, northwest of Nepal’s capital. As per PTI reports, five people were killed in the unfortunate incident. Police and the army carried out rescue operations at the crash site and pulled the dead bodies of four men and one woman. The chopper took off at 1.54 pm from KIA (Kathmandu International Airport). Just three minutes after the chopper took off, it lost contact with the tower and crashed into the mountains.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi also died in a helicopter crash on May 20, this year near Jolfa. As per local media reports, the cause of the crash was heavy rainfall, fog, and gusty winds, whereas some said it happened due to a ‘hard landing’. Many Indian political leaders have also lost their lives in the past due to helicopter crashes.
