Kota: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old girl suffocated to death after her parents mistakenly left her in a locked car for over two hours while they attended a wedding.
The tragedy occurred on Wednesday evening when Pradeep Nagar, a resident of Kota, traveled to Jorawarpur village with his wife and two daughters for a relative’s wedding. Upon arrival, his wife exited the car with their elder daughter and went inside, while Pradeep parked the car, according to Khatoli police station SHO Banna Lal on Thursday.
Assuming both daughters had gone with their mother, he locked the car and joined the function. Engrossed in various ceremonies in separate groups, both parents assumed their younger daughter Gorvika was with the other. It wasn’t until about two hours later that the couple realized Gorvika was missing and began searching frantically for her. Eventually, they discovered her unconscious in the car and hurried her to a hospital, where a doctor declared her dead upon arrival, stated the SHO.
