New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday affirmed that hearing of a batch of pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir will start from August 2. The apex court has informed that the hearing of pleas take place on day-to-day basis except Monday and Friday. The court has also appointed two advocates as nodal counsels for the preparation of common convenience compilations of documents. The SC said written submissions shall also be filed on or before July 27 and no further additions to the convenience compilation shall be permissible. Meanwhile, IAS officer Shah Faesal and activist Shehla Rashid appealed the court to remove names as petitioners after they decided not to pursue their pleas. The court has allowed permission to delete their names. The apex court said that the case will be heard under the title "In Re: Article 370 of the Constitution". Earlier, lead petitioner was Shah Faesal.
