In a shocking turn in the Raja Raghuwanshi case, Raja’s father, Ashok Raghuwanshi, has made serious claims about Raj. According to Ashok, Raj brought the kafan (shroud) for Raja and was present during the funeral. He also alleged that Raj was constantly updating Sonam over the phone throughout the incident.
“He came with the kafan. I saw him standing behind me with a white cloth. At that time, I didn’t know Raja had been killed on someone’s instructions,” said Ashok. He further added, “Raj went everywhere to the house, here, there and was acting innocent. But all along, he was giving information to Sonam.”
Raja’s Mother Questions Raj’s Role and Astrologer’s Silence in Son’s Death
Raja’s mother also expressed her deep pain and suspicion. “I saw in the video that it was Raj. The same hand he used to write a conspiracy against my son was now holding the white shawl for his last rites,” she said emotionally. “If I had known earlier, I would’ve beaten the truth out of him, how dare he get my son killed?”
The family has also raised questions about Sonam’s involvement, citing a kundali (astrological) match arranged by her family before the wedding. Raja’s mother said that the kundali, which had been matched by astrologer N.K. Pandey, was later found in the temple area during house cleaning.
The family has reportedly tried contacting the astrologer several times, asking why he did not inform them of any mismatch or potential issues. “If he had told us, we could have done something. Why didn’t he inform us or the family?” said the mother.
As the investigation deepens, the grieving parents continue to seek answers about the truth behind their son’s tragic death.
