Hathras Son Remembers Night Of Fear Before Father’s Disappearance
Then nine years of age, Punjabi Singh remembered that he used to share a bed with his father as a child. “One night”, he said, “my two elder brothers in their early twenties and an elderly man came in here and ordered me to go out and sleep there”.
“I couldn’t sleep that night so I went out to check. That’s when I heard my brothers arguing with my father in one room. I got scared and hid in a corner,” Singh told PTI on Saturday. Singh saw the next morning a newly dug ditch in the porch of the house.
“I first narrated the incident to my elder brother. During this conversation, I grew suspicious about the connection of my two elder brothers with my father’s disappearance,” he added.
Investigation Was Closed Eight Years Ago
Singh said he had also lodged the same complaint with the police eight years ago; however, the officer in charge closed the investigation saying it was a property dispute.
Thursday, a police team and forensic experts dug up the porch of his ancestral house and found the skeletal remains.
