In a shocking incident reported from Hathras, a class two student has been killed in school hostel in name of ‘sacrifice’. The sacrifice is called as a part of black magic ritual which was performed to bring fame and success to the school.
According to the police, five people have been apprehended for their involvement in the child’s killing. The police has arrested Director of the school, his father and three teachers of the school. The accused have been identified as Ramprakash Solanki, Dinesh Baghel, Jashodhan Singh alias Bhagat ji, Laxman Singh and Virpal Singh alias Viru.
The police revealed that these five people had tried to kill the boy earlier also, but their attempts failed.
Hathras SP Nipun Agarwal said that the boy was sacrificed as part of a ritual for school’s success and glory. He said that investigation is going on to know whether any other person was also involved in this killing.
The investigation by the police has further added that school director’s father believed in black magic and tantric rituals. Together they all believed that such ritual and sacrifice would add to the success and glory of school.
A staff member and few students found the boy not responding on Monday Morning. However, School director instead of reporting the death, carried the body in his car and drove around. Parents of the boy were informed that their son is not well. But when they couldn’t find the boy upon their arrival at school, they sensed something is wrong and alerted the police.
The local police started their search for the boy and found the body in school director’s vehicle. His body was found with marks of injuries on neck.
“The child’s body was discovered in the director’s car after the family raised the alarm. We sent the body for an autopsy, which revealed that the child had been strangled to death on Sunday night. A case of murder under BNS section 103(1) has been registered against the five accused,” said the police officer.
An FIR has been registered in Sahpau Police Station in Hathras u/s 103(1) of BNS against Dinesh Baghel, the owner of D.L. Public School and 4-5 unidentified people. It has been registered on the basis of the statement of a man which states that Baghel and other accused told him that they strangled his son and killed him on 23rd September.
Speaking to ANI, Member of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), Anita Agarwal said, “This is a heinous incident. We will take action in this matter. I will recommend to the State Administration to de-recognise this school.”
